Teamshares is a startup based out of Brooklyn, New York. They acquire small to medium sized businesses from their retiring owners and convert these acquisitions into employee-owned companies. Teamshares subsequently installs leadership who would then be advised by Teamshares' Industry Leads.
To support these Network Companies and their Industry Leads, Teamshares has a suite of products built specifically for their use cases.

Industry Leads managing Teamshares' 90+ Network Companies were spending 3+ hours per company on manual payroll data processing. This created 270+ hours of operational overhead per analysis cycle, preventing them from focusing on strategic customer conversations that drive business growth. The manual bottleneck was directly impacting our ability to serve customers effectively.

I took ownership of cross-functional alignment between Product, Engineering, and Operations teams. I conducted comprehensive workflow analysis with Industry Leads affecting 90+ companies, discovering that they needed both payroll analysis AND employee roster accuracy verification.
What research and business knowledge surfaced allowed me to introduce a scalable integration framework supporting multiple payroll providers (ADP, Paychex, Gusto, BambooHR).
This benefits the entire Teamshares product suite as integration is a pending feature for a number of Teamshares products—only they were considered within their own spheres. This implementation sets the stage for integration to be set up in one place, providing visibility between silos and the elimination of double-work.
The other addition was leveraging payroll integration to facilitate the automated updating of employee rosters in TeamsharesOS, which removes some load off of Teamshares admins.
